Description

ISL Planning Grant Award 2024-2025

The purpose of this program is to promote collaboration between FSU Research faculty by providing funding for a new direction or continuing support of existing research or creative activity, with the goal being that the project will improve the opportunity for successful longevity in aging populations. See the ISL mission statement. Thus, there should be at least 2 researchers, preferably from different disciplines, involved in the application. This program provides $25,000 per project; it does not provide funds for faculty salary. This program is modeled on the CRC’s planning grant program so this proposal is seen as the first step toward collecting data that would lead to federal funding.
Specifics for that program appear in the official Request for Proposals.

A Note About Principal Investigators

  • Two-year hiatus:  Investigators (PI) and Co-Investigators (Co-PIs) who received PG funding in the academic year 2022-2023 are not eligible for consideration for the 2024 – 2025 competition. Only one proposal per PI or Co-PI may be submitted to the PG program per competition round; a Co-PI may not submit an application as a PI within the same competition round. Please note that you may not be eligible until you have provided evidence that you have applied for Federal Funding.

    ·  Students and post-docs are not eligible to be a PI or Co-PI on CRC grants.

    ·  No more than 5 Co-PIs may be included on each proposal (LIMIT: 1 PI + 5 Co-PIs = 6 "named" personnel per proposal).
